Gray furcula - Furcula cinereoides

Gray furcula - Furcula cinereoides
Othello Rd., near Hope, Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada
September 10, 2005
Extremely cryptic larva. I have found it by pure accident, as the small twig it was on almost poked my eye out when i got off from my car. Identified to species level by rearing the larva to adulthood (the cocoon was even more inconspicuous, it looked like a small, ovoid gall).
