Leptogenys elongata - Female

An ergatoid queen (left) with a worker (right). Note the shorter and wider petiole of the ergatoid compared to the worker, as well as the distended abdomen.
Colony was aspirated from under a rock near a campground. There were two ergatoid queens in the colony.
