Leaf Beetle Pupae - Chrysomela aeneicollis

Leaf Beetle Pupae - Chrysomela aeneicollis
Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada
August 24, 2007
On Salix. Pupae of this species of Leaf Beetle:

Moved from Leaf Beetles.

Chrysomela aneicollis
great work Stephen. Pictures of both the host and the larva. You also figured out the species I think. Here is another picture to compare/confirm
Also check out other leafbeetles from your area on that site.

Thanks, Rob!
Is the spelling aneicollis or aeneicollis?

We used the 'aen'
spelling on the guide page with 822 hits on Google vs the other which only had 3 hits and two of those were for Terry's site. It's easy enough to correct if we're wrong.

Thanks for confirming that. I checked Nearctica and the Coleoptera Checklist, and both also spelt it with "aen-".
