Is this ruficornis species group, Typical Nomad Bees? - Nomada
Tracys Landing, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
April 4, 2019
Several of these were flying around the ground in today's warm sunshine. They seemed interested in looking into any holes in the ground, even putting their heads into holes if the holes were big enough. They were curious about ant hill holes, but not really interested. Most seem to have areas with white fur, a yellow spot on the very red abdomen, and transparent wings. In flight they looked like a very small wasp.
