Would like to know what this is. Perhaps a type of crane fly. Not very big, only shot I got of it.

My mistake
Now I am getting familiar with the western crane fly fauna I would put this one in the Tipula either Yamatotipula or Hesperotipula group. Hard to tell from the image. - Chen

Yes.
It is either a crane fly or a phantom crane fly. Difficult to tell for this amateur dipterist:-)
