Moved to Acronicta brumosa
Moved from Dagger Moths.

Determination confirmed by Chris Schmidt.

Let me know if you would like to share this image with MPG. This and Delmar Cain's 1280952 are the only two I could find at BugGuide that I thought were brumosa. Yours looks slightly overexposed while his is a bit underexposed. But both are good shots. There were many from the southwest population which is now a separate species.

To your question to Aaron, the answer is yes provided he had the newly published MONA Fascicle 25.4 (1) but even then we would want an expert like Chris to confirm. They are very difficult.

I would be happy to share with MPG. What do I need to do?

That's good enough but it would be better if you send me and email which you can get from my user account or emailing MPG. If you have other images we need, I'd set up an account for you.

The flickr images is really good.

Thanks!

Does Chris need to verify the photo I sent the Flickr link for?
