Black Wasp on Gravel Road - Anoplius - female

Black Wasp on Gravel Road - Anoplius - Female
Bergheim in RM of Aberdeen/RM of Corman Park , Saskatoon and Area, Saskatchewan, Canada
April 19, 2019
I stalked this flighty wasp back and forth the gravel road, it rarely paused and was always hovering and landing only briefly in inspection of various spots.

It did rest briefly and allowed a few pictures.

It was an unseasonable warm April, temperature was about 17 °C and it was mostly sunny.

The community is about 15 miles out of Saskatoon and the fields bordering this road our mostly wheat farms the canola, barley and beef farms are all in the vicinity.
The ditch adjacent the road was Pussy Willow and Saskatoon Berry shrubs.

How confident is he? We can create a new species page, but I wouldn't want to do that unless he's fairly certain of the ID.

He responded to my email resp
He responded to my email response saying that he meant had meant Anoplius Tenebrosus, he suggested it since the wasp was out and about in April as an adult.

Thanks
I think we'll leave it at genus for now. Perhaps we can get a concurring opinion.

I have no idea as of yet.
