Seen near Vedalia Beetle, Cycloneda munda, and Cycloneda sanguinea adults and pupae on garden plant w/ aphids. Could it be a victim of a fungus?

Yes, it makes perfect sense! These insects are the favored prey of Vedalia Beetles. That should have occurred to me!
