Size: .75"
Body and head are greenish. Body appears to have black stripes. Legs are reddish and wings brown. Seems to only try to fly.There are a lot of them on our wooden deck and they appeared suddenly yesterday.

Their larvae parasitize ground-nesting bees. You might be seeing the emergence of a new crop of adults.
