Spider Silk Composite Violins

(Assuming Nephila edulis) Australian Golden Orb-weaver Spider Silk Composite used to make violins:

Maybe.
The article says he used an Australian species, but aren't there a couple of species found in Australia?

The common name ...
"Australian Golden Orb-weaver (edit: Orb-weaver = orb spider)" is associated with Nephila edulis in particular, hence the assumption.
