Bee 1549 - Melissodes - male

Bee 1549 - Melissodes - Male
Camden, Knox County, Maine, USA
August 24, 2007
I see three submarginal cells and a pointy marginal cell. Maybe it's an Andrenid but I don't see facial foveae. Male?

The lower face makes me think it might be in Colletidae.

Moved
Moved from Melissodes.

Thank You Both
... one of these days I'll get it.

Melissodes (Eumelissodes) male
Apinae (formerly Anthophorinae)

I would have placed it in Api
I would have placed it in Apidae, Apinae. It looks like a male that would have been in the old subfamily Antho*phorinae to me.
