Juvenal's Duskywing - Erynnis juvenalis - female

Juvenal's Duskywing - Erynnis juvenalis - Female
Reston, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
April 24, 2019
observed late afternoon, rapid flight, appeared black when in motion. I think this is an example of Erynnis juvenalis juvenalis Juvenal's Duskywing

Moved
Moved from Horace's Duskywing. Horace's lacks hyaline spots in the last two trailing cells of the postmedian band.

Thanks Nick
for the this characteristic / indicator when comparing females. I've noted that BofA has several images of Juvenal's which are indicated as Horace's but I have been unable to get a correction.

Horace's Duskywing female
note white at proximal base of eye, Juvenal's show little if any white around or at base of eyes.

Moved from Juvenal's Duskywing.
