brown bugs mating - Male Female

Kept the orientation in the photo the same as it was on the moth sheet. I'm assuming they're mating, but haven't seen this position anywhere in nature.

Hydropsychidae
I have not seen that position attributed to mating either. Perhaps some preparation festivities?
