This looks like a much better
This looks like a much better match for madusaria to me. MN is way north of amoenaria's midwestern range.

 
I see what you mean
And it seems amoenaria has pointier hindwings that are more contrastingly paler along the inner margin and anal angle. Thanks for the correction. There are several other records shown at SCAN but they could be wrong too.
