Is this one you would hope to rear--I think I can find it now that I know what it is--I am familiar with upper surface mines for this one, but these lower surface mines looked different--it's good to know these belong to the same species. If it is desirable, I can find it in leaf rolls.

It would be worth rearing
This ID is tentative; I'm not sure that the two mine types are from the same species, but I don't know of another option. There do seem to be some
Caloptilia
species that make variable mines that can be on either leaf surface, but there is no mention in the literature of mines like this on
Ostrya
.
