Aphidiinae - Aphidius

Aphidiinae - Aphidius
Rockville, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
May 6, 2019
Size: 2.6mm
Keys out to Aphidius using van Achterberg's key to Aphidiinae (1). Couplet numbers and character states listed below.

1) stigma triangular, distinct from R1
2) Venation of fore wing reduced
4) Basal half of petiole not distinctly tube-shaped
9) Hind wing M+CU not sclerotized, at most pigmented
11) Fore wing r-m and/or m-cu at least partly present
16) Propodeum not deeply impressed medially
17) Fore wing m-cu present, first subdiscal cell of fore wing closed
19) areola absent and replaced by median, posterior carina (somewhat ambiguous in the photos. If I've misinterpreted this, the key points to Pauesia but the wing venation doesn't fit that genus)
20) Pronotum with depressions usually absent or poorly defined. The tarsal claws are hard to see in these photos but they appear to be shorter than the arolium
