Trechus apicalis

Trechus apicalis
Bigelow Preserve, 45.1318, -70.2063, Somerset County, Maine, USA
July 6, 2018
Size: 4.5 mm
Pitfall trap 6 July - 11 July 2018. Alpine spruce-fir zone around 2800 feet. Identified by Bob Nelson at Colby College. The black line is meant to suggest the possibly more quadrate (rather than sinuate) postero-lateral edge of the pronotum. Compare with this beetle that I thought might be Trechus crassiscapus .

Trechus apicalis
is the one example that Frank sent to me this week. Collection data posted here closely matches its label data. Thanks Frank.
