Cononotus
Cononotus is now commonly associated with Pyrochroidae. The adult has long been an enigma, but the larva (described by Doyen) is certainly within the concept of Pyrochroidae.

Hmmm.
Briefly put in the Anthicidae by Abdullah 40 years ago - and quickly removed. For some time and currently in the Salpingidae I believe.

BTW
American Beetles has it in Pyrochroidae/Agnathinae/Cononotus.
Also, CSIRO: Beetles of the World calls it Pyrochroidae.
