Size: ~2mm
A small beetle on a Hepatica flower. There were many of these on the flowers of this plant. I don't know what family this is.

Nitidulidae.
Pretty sure this is a nitidulid, maybe Carpophilus sp., of which I have found them in abundance on yucca flowers in the eastern U.S.

Thanks, Eric. I was thinking Nitidulidae might be a possibility with the short elytra and clubbed antennae, but small beetles are pretty much beyond me. I'll move it to the family page.
