"The head shot and subsequent images depict the punctuation as per Smetana 1971.
No additional punctures between the anterior frontal punctures, posterior frontal puncture situated at some distance from the posterior margin of the eye, another puncture at the inner margin, Q. elevatus is unique with the antenna segments elongate as most Quedius species segments post the third or fourth segment become transverse.
The majority of Quedius species have three dorsal punctures on the pronotum."
