large centipede - Geophilus vittatus

large centipede - Geophilus vittatus
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
April 28, 2005
Size: 8-9cm
Found this under bark on a log in the woods.

Moved from Soil Centipedes.

Order Geophilomorpha; I don't
Order Geophilomorpha; I don't know genus, species, or family

My guess from Looking at (1)is a Geophilomorpha or Soil Centipede. They can be from 5cm to 17cm. The guide shows two pictures of soil centipedes from the N. Hemisphere...Strigamia sp and Arenophilus bipuncticeps. I don't know if this is either of those or not.
