Glyphuroplata pluto

Glyphuroplata pluto
Brookside Gardens, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
May 15, 2019
Size: body ~3mm from photo
ID'd to Glyphuroplata using Staines' New World keys (1) (8 segmented clavate antennae long enough to reach base of pronotum, 8 rows of elytral punctures & 3 elytral costae but no elytral tubercles, 3 sulci on vertex of head, pronotum lacks a basal impression, antennomere 3 w/o a lateral projection). ID'd to G. pluto using Riley's review of the genus (2) (posterior expansion of puncture rows between rows 4 &6). The species' ranges stated by Riley are consistent with exclusion of the other Glyphuroplata 3 species.
