araneid spiderlings

araneid spiderlings
Deerfield River watershed, Massachusetts, USA
July 12, 2007
Size: ~1 mm
These spiderlings emerged this summer from an egg sac I had collected from the side of a tree trunk. I'm pretty sure the family is Araneidae, and I suspect the genus is Araneus. If anyone could confirm that, that would be great... and maybe the pattern is distinctive enough to tell the species?
