Paranthrene pellucida Greenfield & Karandinos - Paranthrene pellucida - Male
Van Buren State Park/South Haven, Van Buren County, Michigan, USA
July 17, 1986
Size: 11-18 mm wing lenght
This species has been collected in Wisconsin, Missouri, Ohio, New York and Michigan. Emergence of adults appeared to be synchronized to even numbered years. Large numbers of moths have been taken with ZZA pheromone lures in July in Michigan. The lack of scaling on the forewing is a key feature.
