Very odd fly... to me, at lea
Very odd fly... to me, at least! I'm guessing maaaybe Chalcosyrphus for now, but am not sure at all, so will put it in the Eristalinae. The abdominal pattern is quite fascinating! Reminds of Platycheirus or Ocyptamus (Orphnabaccha), but the hind femora are swollen, so... hmm.
