Syrphid possible helophilus? - Helophilus fasciatus

Syrphid possible helophilus? - Helophilus fasciatus
Rochester, Monroe County, New York, USA
May 27, 2019

Moved
Moved from Syrphid Flies.

Helophilus fasciatus .... mal
Helophilus fasciatus .... male.
Parhelophilus has orange/yellow antennae and hind tibia with a black band with some yellow below and not mostly black and the pterostigma is too long for Parhelophilus.
If the two basal segments of antennae are reddish/brown then it will be fasciatus but they can be darker but not coal black.
