Carpenter Ant??? - Camponotus herculeanus

Found in manitoba about 1 hr north of winnipeg, in a house on the east coast of lake winnipeg. Ant was seen in the evening, other smaller ants of a similar look present over the past 3 weeks. Similar experience each spring we have bought the house 3 years ago. The ants appear in may and leave in late June or early July.
