The info page for this species is somewhat confusing, as it says that there are "two white bands fully crossing the wing". However, the AM band often stops short, before reaching the costa. This can be seen in some images. (west coast)
This is the first image of this species from California. There are about 30 species in the genus and more than half are not yet represented in the guide.
