ground beetle - Anisodactylus rusticus

ground beetle - Anisodactylus rusticus
Greenfield, New Hampshire, USA
May 5, 2005
Size: 15mm

Anisodactylus harrisi
Common in our area.

slip of tongue, i'm sure: rusticus, rather
both must be quite common but look very different

Tribe Harpalini
This specimen belongs to the tribe Harpalini, but I cannot tell the genus from the photo. It is quite possibly an Anisodactylus or a Notiobia, however, judging by general habitus.
