Identification
Adult: forewing brownish-gray with dark diffuse diagonal markings in AM and PM areas; AM marking angles slightly toward base from inner margin to costa, whereas PM marking angles slightly toward apex from inner margin to costa; upper median area paler than remainder of wing; hindwing pale brownish-gray; palps long, straight, projecting forward from head

Atascosa glareosella is similar but tends to be more reddish.
