Bug Shells - Platypedia

Bug Shells - Platypedia
Stevensville, Ravalli County, Montana, USA
Size: unknown
A friend of mine posted these photos on Face Book, thinking they are bee "husks". I think they are Cicada, but had no idea we had them in Montana. Can someone tell me whether or not they are Cicadas?? I have one more photo if needed. I have received permission from the photographer to post these. She wants to know too! Thank you!
