Green caterpillar

Green caterpillar
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
February 6, 2019
Size: ~2 cm
Found rolled up in a leaf in an apple tree with silk holding the leaf shut.

When touched with a narrow, bristle-like object (Ex. a hair or an ant's antennae) it flings itself backwards off the surface it is sitting on and catches itself with a thread of silk, which it slowly climbs back up after a period of time. Large blunt objects (Ex. a finger) do not trigger any response.
