Help Identify Please (maybe brown recluse?)

Help Identify Please (maybe brown recluse?)
Petaluma, Sonoma County, California, USA
June 4, 2019
Please need help identifying this spider I have encountered four within the past week in my home. My fear is that it is a brown recluse, or other harmful spider. Thank you

Not a recluse.
California is not in the range for brown recluses to be. The spider you have there looks to be a harmless cursorial species; although photo quality is poor, the eyeshine tells me that it’s probably a wolf spider. Wolf spiders, like all spiders, would rather run away instead of biting if given the opportunity.

The most damage this spider would do to you, if you manage to provoke it to bite, would be due to their chelicerae being decently sized. As for their venom, it’s as harmful as a bee or wasp sting.

Thank you Oliver that's good
Thank you Oliver that's good information to know and brings peace of mind...

There are many spiders that crawl into our home, I don't doubt that I will run into another one of these guys soon. When that happens I'll try to get a better quality pic to post here.
