Dicerca pugionota
Well Tom, the verdict is in. This is a Dicerca pugionota (Germar). It's recorded host are alder, withhazel, and ninebark. Key to the northeastern subfamilies of Buprestidae (adapted from Nelson, 1981). Sorry no new record. Joshua Basham
