Oecobius cf. maculatus male - Oecobius maculatus - male

Oecobius cf. maculatus male - Oecobius maculatus - Male
Barstow, San Bernardino County, California, USA
May 31, 2019
Size: 1.5 mm
I found this adult male Oecobius sp. on the wall of a building. I couldn't match the palp to anything in Shear 1970, but thanks to a tip and emailed images from Jeff Hollenbeck and Salvador Vitanza, I think it might be this extralimital species, O. maculatus, which Jeff and Salvador may have also found in Arizona. O. annulipes might also be a possibility?

Moved
Moved from Wall spiders.

ID suggested by J Hollenbeck and confirmed by J Wunderlich, who was kind enough to look at these images. We are hoping to write this finding up for publication because this observation, as well as S. Vitanza's photos of an AZ male and my reared Colusa County male, appear to be the first records of this species in the New World.
