etymology of scientific names

Does anybody know where I could get information on the rough translation of the scientific (Latin) names of insects?
Thanks,
Steve

Google latin to english
You will find a few latin dictionary sites. That would help, except that a lot of the names are refernces to the person who discovered/named the species. You could probably google the name and find info also.

My favorite online Latin dictionary is
http://www.nd.edu/~archives/latin.htm
which I use often to decipher Latin-derived scientific names or translate original descriptions of species written in Latin.

Cool. Greek, too.
Just a reminder that some scientific names include Greek as well as Latin.
