Hylaeus nelumbonis - female

Hylaeus nelumbonis - Female
Northern Montezuma Wildlife Management Area, Savannah, Wayne County, New York, USA
June 8, 2019
Size: ~8mm
There doesn't seem to be a BugGuide page for this species yet that I could find. This specimen was caught in a pan trap in a cattail marsh surrounded by a matrix of wooded and open habitat. Subsequent sampling has captured several more, in different locations not spatially adjacent. Subsequent individuals have (of 7/19/19) been observed on white waterlily, arrowhead, flowering rush, and pickerelweed.
