Beige & Red Patterned Meloid - Pleuropasta mirabilis

Found in sandy habitat west of the UC Reseach Station. The leaves visible in some of the photos here are Tiquilia nuttallii...and adults of Pleuropasta mirabilis are often found feeding on plants of that genus.

This individual was quite cooperative and I got lots of nice photos. I posted 7 shots here, but unchecked the "Represenntative" box on 4 of thme...so the series wouldn't dominate the display on the info page.
