Life Cycle
In some species, the egg is deposited on the foliage and the larva is of the
planidium type. It mounts a member of the secondary host species, and eventually parasitizes the parasitoid of the larvae.

Most are hyperparasitoids. Some are primary parasitoids of wood-boring beetle larvae (Ptinidae, Platypodinae) or, less commonly, some other orders
