Size: ~2-3mm
Another tiny beetle from the side of a large flower pot in our garden. (live oak/chaparral habitat).

parallela has been synonymized with bicolor
still, the ID is tentative

It looks similar to the genus Oryzaephilus, but the pronotum isn't right...

It does look to be in the genus Monotoma.
