Neoscapteriscus borellii - male

Neoscapteriscus borellii - Male
Texas A&M Campus, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, USA
June 15, 2019
I heard this mole cricket singing from a wet patch of ground at night and managed to locate his burrow underneath a tuft of grass, but he abruptly quit singing. I decided to roam around a bit before circling back to this spot, and he was singing again when I returned. Now that I knew where his burrow was, I was able to quickly jab my hand into the mud at an angle to block off his burrow, forcing him out of the hole backwards where I grabbed him.
