Puthz described several new species in the genus in 2003. Revision of the Genus Fenderia Hatch, 1957 (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae). Memoirs on Entomology, International 17: 637-648.
"This specimen was found in the unidentified Staphylinidae drawer at Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History. The College of Idaho. Caldwell, Idaho 83605 U.S.A. Many thanks to Bill Clark."
