Moved from Owlet Moths. I am pretty sure that this is the same moth from a separate submission. They were both found on the same day and look exactly alike, so I have now linked them.



Think it's Caradrina morpheus....
... but it has a bit of a blue cast to it - might be coming from your black light??

I think that's probably what it is....
The ones I get here tend to be more brown, but there are photos of darker specimens.

Thanks very much Libby. I really appreciate your help with all these ID's. I am using a double flash setup for these moths, so the black light can not have any colour effect on the subjects. Could be my processing, but I am generally pretty accurate with that. :)
