damsel nymph

damsel nymph
Groton, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
February 2, 2008
Size: 10mm
It was in a puddle on the ice of a frozen swamp.

Coenagrionidae
If you could pull out the labium and get the sizes and count of the premental bristles for me, I would give the genus a go. For these guys a lateral shot of the gills is critical to go very far.

I'm trying to raise it
to maturity in a turtle tank. If I see it when it emerges, I'll know the species.
