Near Bush Point on Whidbey Island, Island County, Washington, USA

On the beach, below high tide line. Kids loved it -- a real gateway bug. Crawled willingly onto their hands. I'm posting this because it was a sighting in Washington in June, which doesn't seem to have another such record in the BugGuide data yet.
