Around 7:00 AM, a relatively large number of ants congregated on a sidewalk. The scene was a bit chaotic. The workers were actively moving around and over the female reproductives and my camera and arms were covered by quite a few workers and soldiers. A male that approached the ladies was quickly attacked and killed by the workers! (see photos # 5 and 6) Anyone knows the reason?
