Big, black spider - Tigrosa aspersa

Big, black spider - Tigrosa aspersa
Lynchburg, Campbell County, Virginia, USA
June 29, 2019
Size: around 2 inches
I saw this black spider in my parent's backyard. It was big and black to dark grey. It is on the leaf of a black eyed susan plant. I think it is a type of wolf spider. I have never seen one that color and size before! What do you think it is?
