Possible Eastern Tiger Swallowtail caterpillar - Papilio polyxenes

Possible Eastern Tiger Swallowtail caterpillar - Papilio polyxenes
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
July 2, 2019
Size: 1 inch
About 5 of these caterpillars were feasting on the fern dill plant between 11 a.m. and 12 noon. Later in the afternoon I reentered garden to see if I could find one beginning a cocoon, no luck, but about 3 were still eating, one much smaller.
