Microrhagus pectinatus LeConte, 1866 - Microrhagus pectinatus - male

Microrhagus pectinatus LeConte, 1866 - Microrhagus pectinatus - Male
Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
Identification confirmed by Robert Otto

Confirmed
Yes, it is Microrhagus pectinatus LeConte. I am working on Eucnemidae, especially in Wisconsin and North America. Only the males of the species have strongly pectinate antennae. Females of this species and the other three Microrhagus species of both sexes found in Wisconsin and much of the NA continent have serrate antennae. If you could, I would like a complete collecting data to add to my database of Wisconsin Eucnemidae.

Thank you very much!
This confirmation will encourage me to take and post more images of Eucnemidae specimens from Wisconsin here. Here's the collection data for this guy: Wisconsin, Dane County, Madison, Eagle Heights (43°05'N 89°26'W), 17 June 2003, Grass sweeping.

No Problem
I got the data in my computer to track all occurence of 27 Eucnemid species in Wisconsin. Your contribution is very valuable and I wish to thank you for providing the information I need. I look forward to see any other eucnemid surprises you have to offer.

different, I think
The type specimen is of more elongate built, which is a significant difference in the family.
Any Microrhagus was once placed in Dirhagus.

compare
type - current nomenclature; Dirhagus pectinatus? Not sure about species though. Will do some digging unless someone beats me to it.
