I thought this was a piece of dirt caught in a spider web when I first saw it. about 1mm wide by 3mm long. I can't seem to identify it.

All the juvenile Micrathena gracilis like this that I've seen also had the white dot in the center of the dorsal abdomen, which seems to only be noticeable in some of the more mature specimens.
